No matter what business you’re in, there’s one sure way to improve your bottom line and save energy, all at the same time. You can save energy – and reduce your operational and maintenance costs – by joining BC Hydro’s Power Smart Product Incentive Program (PIP). It’s just 4 easy steps to participate in PIP!

1.  First review your facility and make a list of the changes you’d like – lighting in parking lot, for example, or exit signs throughout your store.

2.  Next, consult the list of eligible retrofits and energy-efficient products in our online e.Catalog to make sure you buy PIP-approved products.

3.  Purchase the approved products (remember to keep your invoices), and use qualified installers to install them following BC Hydro's on-line Installation Standards. A qualified installer is:

• a Power Smart Alliance member
• a qualified member of your staff (for hard-wired projects, he or she must be a certified electrician), or 
• your preferred contractor, provided he or she applies to and is approved by the PIP program (the application form is available on-line) before you purchase the product he or she will install.

4.   Apply on-line for a PIP rebate, then mail in your invoices within 120 days of invoice date to:
