Te Coalition is made up of organizations that collectively represent over 50,000 small and medium-sized businesses active in all sectors of BC's diverse economy in communities throughout the province. The Coalition's sole focus is the development of labour policies that will help foster a positive relationship between employers and employees and a climate for new economic growth, opportunities and jobs.
The Drive Out the Tax Coalition
The Drive Out the Tax Coalition is a growing broad based coalition of over 30 businesses, organizations and associations from retail, hospitality, business, representing parking at businesses post secondary institutions, healthcare and office buildings in Metro Vancouver.
The Fair Tax Coalition
The ultimate goal of the Fair Tax Coalition, in which Shelfspace is a proud member, is to bring equity back to civic taxation in Vancouver. The Fair Tax Coalition is proposing a gradual 10-year program to morph the property tax structure into a user-pay model whereby each property class pays for what they use. This is a gradual solution establishing a realistic and sustainable way to ensure a more equitable relationship between the taxes paid by the various classes of property.
