How Kristina got into retail:

Kristina knew at 18 that she wanted to own her own business so began the journey. The first stop was with Pegabo, part of Aldo’s, as a part time sales associate. In between was business school, travel, and all career choices being made knowing that salary was performance based. Just before she bought LaLa’s she did the most challenging sales job, in her eyes, car sales...once she had mastered “the lot”, she felt she was ready to step out on her own with LaLa’s. On her 13th year, Kristina knows that her choice was the best choice; she loves her days, the people she works with and the world of retail.

What does Shelfspace mean to Kristina?

Shelfspace has brought professionalism to LaLa’s. As a team, we participate in workshops, panel discussions, and planning committees - all of this helping to connect to one another and our peers. Personally, Kristina enjoys being on the Board of Directors as her passion to increase the perceived professionalism of the retail sector has a voice. Of course, Shelfspace is a Ton of Fun too!
